This Privacy Policy explains how the members of The RAAIS Foundation (“we”, “us” or “our”) collect, use and protect personal information across our brands. This Privacy Policy is applicable to our website users (including mobile and social media sites), clients, alumni, job applicants, and other third-parties (“you” or “your”) and discloses the Personal Data gathering and dissemination practices of The RAAIS Foundation in connection with our websites (i.e., raais.co, raais.org) and other digital properties such as our social medial properties, digital communications and other electronic processing (collectively, “Site”). It explains how we use Personal Data that we collect or otherwise receive about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information, and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.

For Event Management

As a speaker, sponsor or attendee of our events, your personal information will be used in event management, carrying out logistic, administrative and analytics activities, to ensure our events run smoothly and so that we can offer an improved experience for our customers. We may also use your personal information to maintain databases that allow us to encourage further engagement at our events, and to request references in certain circumstances. Moreover, photos and videos are taken at our events, which may feature attendees, speakers or sponsors. Where we have taken photos and videos at our events that feature you as an attendee, sponsor or exhibitor, to the extent permitted by applicable data protection laws, those photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes. 

We may use anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated information so that it will no longer be considered Personal Data and use and disclose such information for purposes as permitted by applicable law.


GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING

Some jurisdictions require organizations, such as The RAAIS Foundation, to have legal grounds for processing Personal Data. Where applicable law requires us to justify our processing activities, we rely on the following legal bases:

Additionally, at any time, you may opt out of having your Personal Data used by The RAAIS Foundation to send promotional correspondence to you by contacting us via email as indicated in the Contact Us section below. You may also “unsubscribe” from our email list at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” button in any communication from The RAAIS Foundation.

We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages from which you cannot opt out.

THE RAAIS FOUNDATION’S RIGHT TO CONTACT YOU

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA FROM CHILDREN

The RAAIS Foundation does not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Data online from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. The RAAIS Foundation is not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these websites.
